Studying Architecture

FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE, BRNO UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (CZ)
2011-2017
I studied at the Faculty of Architecture at BUT in Brno, Czech Republic from 2011 to 2017 and spent one semester at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, Croatia.
An absolutely crucial experience for me was the peer education with classmates across years, constant confrontation and inspiration all in one. I believe it is thanks to the people I met that I can say I can think "outside of the box" during the design process, while never forgetting the audience, the client, in fact everyone I see as a potential visitor to the architecture emerging in my head and on paper in front of me.

To this day, I am grateful for the human approach we were guided by the faculty. Seeing the role of the architect as part of society rather than as an individual saviour opened the door to endless virtual assignments - from social problems to utopian visions.
By learning to grasp such vast themes in the context of a "safe" academic ground and taking them to the "outside" world, coping with the reaction of non-architects, one could develop humility and the desire to do something with the heart while keeping one's feet on the ground.

My wish is to learn as much as I can from practice, to get a feel for architecture and experience all the joys and sorrows associated with the design process so that one day I can stand in front of future students and motivate them to create.
