On their initial trip to our architectural studio, the couple described their dream to depart from the bustling city life and build a new house in the countryside, as close to nature as possible.
The architectural concept of a wooden structure carries the strength of modern living, but at the same time, the goal all along was to fully respect the surrounding buildings in a small village in the Czech Beskydy Mountains.
The simple layout of the house focuses on maximum openness to the surrounding views, the "skin" of the house consists of movable elements, the mass of the house respects the traditional buildings while constantly changing thanks to the façade panels.
