Experimental task assignment consisted of a specific typology, but without spatial context.
Despite being centered around a spa concept, I created a specific context of a big city environment with spatial limitation of buildings and the urban philosophy of grouping various typologies into organically intertwined systems.
The underground swimming pool is lit by skylights at street level and its massive concrete "shell" serves as a foundation for a vertical framework that could potentially facilitate the upward expansion of multifaceted public spaces. There are gardens, a park, saunas, small sports facilities, seamlessly linked through a combination of stairs, elevators, and even a slide.
